It features a significant collection of contemporary artworks inspired by modes of transportation and invites artists to propose pieces that engage diverse audiences in exploring transportation's ongoing relevance in imaginative, experiential ways. Artists like Baptist Coelho, Pooja Iranna, Hanif Kureshi, Gigi Scaria, Sahar Zaman, Dhiraj Singh, Anjum Rana, Nishant Sudhakaran, Indrani Purkayastha, Vishal K. Dar, Shubhra Chaturvedi and Nataraj Sharma have their works displayed alongside historical objects in various galleries, each contextualized within the historical, scientific, cultural, or social dimensions of transportation. Renowned artist Atul Bhalla has created a site-specific piece inspired by traditional inland waterway transportation. While contemporary artworks are integrated throughout the museum, a dedicated gallery space hosts thematic exhibitions year-round.
